Vitamin A

Vitamin A

What is it?

Vitamin A refers to retinoids and the various molecules derived from Vitamin A, which itself is also known as retinol. In the skin, Vitamin A is converted to retinaldehyde and then to retinoic acid, which influences a number of processes in the skin surface.

How does it help skin?

Vitamin A is topically used to address photoaging, which involves the premature aging of skin occurring due to cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Some of these signs of photoaging include visible improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, smoothness, and hyperpigmentation. Vitamin A can also be used to help acne-prone skin.

Did you know?

Vitamin A is the umbrella term for retinoids – retinoids include retinol, an anti-aging compound.

Why did we choose it?

An important part of our Nuria Defend Triple Action Eye Cream, Vitamin A compliments the other naturals in this formula to minimize the signs of aging that first appear around your eyes.
